The guidelines for Italian public administration websites are to be revised, Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale (AGID), the Agency for the Digitalisation of the Public Sector, announced earlier this month. The new version will take into account feedback from users, designers and developers of public administration websites.
The revision of the website design guidelines is meant to encourage dissemination and implementation, AGID writes.
The guide helps public administrations to create a consistent visual identity, and improve online interactions with citizens and the use of information and eGovernment services, AGID writes. The agency aims to standardise the use of graphics, information architecture and technical functionality across Italy’s public administrations.
The website design guidelines were first published in November 2015. The source of the document is now available on GitHub, a cloud-based source code management system.
